About the college

A little bit about us

Welcome to Westport College of Further Education, established in 2009 to meet the educational needs of a community that is undergoing social and economic change.  To this end, we review and update our course provision annually.  Our programmes are contemporary and designed to reflect the practices of the work place.  We offer a suite of courses for school leavers and adults which will result in awards at Levels 5 and 6.

We offer a fresh and vibrant place to study and our aim is to ensure that lifelong learning opportunities are available to all.  Students on our PLC courses may receive Level 5 or Level 6 awards which are nationally recognised and which are a stepping stone to further study or training.  While many of our students go directly into the world of work, increasing numbers progress to higher educational opportunities.

If you have questions you would like to ask us, or would like further information or advice about our courses, don’t hesitate to get in touch.  Our staff are friendly and welcoming and would be delighted to help.

Whichever course you take we hope your time at Westport CFE is fulfilling and enriching and that you will consider continuing your education in the future.
